V. Lynn Lofton practices State and Federal Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation arising from personal injury, and medical malpractice. Upon graduation, Lynn accepted a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Diane S. Goodstein. She clerked for two terms in the First Judicial Circuit where she received invaluable experience in the areas of state civil and criminal litigation. In November of 2004, Lynn joined her family as an associate in the firm of Lofton & Lofton in Charleston, South Carolina.
V. Lynn Lofton graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson and Wales University in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. She enrolled that same year in the University of South Carolina’s Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Department. Lynn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from this program in1998.
Lynn was accepted and entered the University of South Carolina’s School of Law in the fall of 1998 to further her education. While in Law School, Lynn was selected as a member of the 2001 Moot Court Bar which recognizes students who excel in appellate advocacy and brief writing. Lynn also became a member of the John Belton O’Neil Inn of Court, Phi Delta Phi, Student Bar Association, and Palmetto Law Society. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2001 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the Fall of that same year.
